    RT poll on M/M romance
RT has rejected my proposal for a m/m discussion panel this year but they are looking for reader support to make an informed decision for the future apparently.
Please go here and vote, no matter what your opinion on the subject is. Let our voice be heard. Let M/M romance for women have it's rightful place in RT's reviews.

It's a poll asking about interest in m/m
    romances.

    manloveromance.com-a promo co-op
The manloveromance site is going very well. Most of the authors included have reported a marked increase in their site hits and those that can track their current sales, are finding a surge in them. This is an experiment in mass marketing by the small guys, but it seems to be working. The leaderboard ad on Advocate.com is working out great!
We're going to run a 3 issue, 1/3 page, color ad in MEN magazine for the holidays. I'm still looking for more M/M authors to join the co-op for this ad as the cost is over $3000. Right now we're each looking at paying about $142 for the entire 3 issue run, and that isn't so bad. But less would be even better!
If anyone is interested, contact me at manloveromance@arkwolf.com for more info!

    #1 on B&N
I just found out Sunday morning that my M/M erotic novel, A Bit of Rough, was ranked #1 on B&N bestselling erotic fiction list out of 1,367 titles. It puts me ahead of Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty Trilogy! I also was #195 on the entire B&N bestselling list for the entire site for a brief but shining moment today and I have been #1 on their gay erotic fiction list for the last week! I'm so excited! And they say there isn't a market for M/M erotic romance out there! Raspberrries to all disbelievers!

    M/m Authors Promo group proposal
It’s been a very active week. First, I got a brainstorm for a promotional idea, so I had to get busy and see if it would work.

I’ve organizing a group of M/M erotic romance writers to form a advertising co-op so that we can pool our funds and afford to run ads in bigger mainstream and gay publications and websites. I bought a domain name, Manloveromance.com, got a friend to design a website, put my dear, darling husband to work creating the site. Then I advertised for interested authors, got 20 of them to make a financial commitment, organized their info, and researched media kits for all the publications that reach our target audiences--gay men and straight women who like romantic M/M pairings. And then made phone calls and a flurry of emails to put the arrangements in place. We went with an ad on line with the Advocate.com on July 1st.

Phew! I hope this all works out for everyone involved. We have a terrific group of authors with a diverse range of work that should appeal to a wide array of readers. I hope they find us and we can entertain them!

Mid-week, I was asked to join the group of delightful authors that sponsors the Faery Ball at the RT convention each year! What a fun thing to get involved with! The Ball last month was terrific, full of fun costumes, party people and great gifts and activities. It was one of the highlights of the convention for me. I’m thrilled to be part of it for next year. Now, I have to work on finding the perfect faery costume for Houston next April! I’m not very faeryish-looking, but I love shiny things! My motto is 'pretty, pretty, shiny, shiny’!

Now, inbetween all these things, the kids are off from school for the next 87 days (who's counting?) I have two rapidly approaching deadlines and I’m looking for places to lock myself into to get a bit of peace and quiet to finish up “ROUGHHOUSING”. Although, I admit it, I love writing these guys and I hate the thoughts of leaving them behind again when this one is finished. They are always making out! To be so passionately in love with a new man! Bram and James are so hot!

    m/m erotic romances
I'm hard at work on my sequel to A BIT OF ROUGH, my Passionate Plume Finalist Nominnee.

Here is the blurb for A BIT OF ROUGH for those who don't know my work.
If you loved the romance and intimacy of Brokeback Mountain, but want a happy ending you'll like A Bit of Rough.

Architect James Justin impulsively lets himself be picked up in a biker bar by seductive hunk Bram Lord for a one nightstand that turns into something bigger. The physically impressive, forceful stranger mets, matches and exceeds James' sexual fantasies, but can shy, uncertain James be everything the strongly committed Bram wants?

Remember, my work is all m/m, all romace and very explicit!

A BIT OF ROUGH is available both in ebook and print formats and it can be found at Amazon, B&N, A Different Light, Fictionwise and whole lot of other places!

The sequel is called ROUGHHOUSING and it contijues the story of James' and Bram's growing relationship. If you like brawny, tender alpha males and sensitive take-no-shit betas in the bedroom, these guys are your cup of tea!

ANd if you like werewolves, I have OUT THERE IN THE NIGHT to tease your senses with.

What's the most pleasurable way to be made into a werewolf? By having sex with one ... and surviving.

Something Dr. Connor Jacy is about to find out after spending a long, lust-filled night of wild, animalistic and sensual lovemaking with the mysterious Native American trapper who rescued him from a snowmobile accident site in the Alaskan wilderness. It's only a few days until the full moon and once back at home, Dr. Jacy is sure it was all a dream compounded by his head injury. Unfortunately for Connor, the powerful spiritwalkers of an ancient Indian tribe have already decided to mate a modern man of medical science with a mythical creature and guardian of the night.

    ENjoy!

    Rt and Manlove romances
    RT and Manlove
If I found out nothing else at RT I discovered this-m/m erotic romance for women is not a recognized market in the publishing industry. Readers loved it, asked for it and about it, but most print publishers deny an audience for it exists.

Even Harlequin has decide straight women would enjoy f/f romance in their new Spice line more than ones with delicious, hot, primal men in them. I have yet to understand that particular reasoning. I love men. I want men in my romances, and two men are better than no men in a story. M/m readers do exist, by the thousands.

I want to help raise the awareness of the NY print houses to the existence of some of the hottest stories out there, MANLOVE.

Romantic manlove erotic fiction has been around for over thirty years, since the first Kirk/Spock fanfiction was written and it's not going anywhere. There are thousand of sites devoted to slash fiction and hundreds of thousands of readers looking for quality stories, most, but not all, are women. A recent Wall Street Journal article that state 60% of Brokeback's audience is female.

Manlove *is* a part of the romance community. E publishers get it, small print publishers get it. Now we need to have the big guys get it if we want more quality manlove fiction made available to us. Please consider dropping a note to the addys below. Maybe then we could see some action. It would also help to mention and include the link for a certain book's status on Amazon or B&N. Be polite. And numbers count. Let's make our voices heard.
